Transformed not conformed: truths for life in the present age

The purpose of this series is to help the church at Harvest to live as God’s people by the renewal of our minds in God’s word to bring the light of the gospel to a dark and lost world for God’s glory. Unless we are being transformed by the renewal of our minds through God’s word, we inevitably will be conformed to this world, to this present age. That’s because the world’s attitudes, its assumptions about reality, its values, its “plausibility structures,” its slogans, are constantly bombarding us from all directions, through social media, news (online, tv, or print), education systems, entertainment industry, and government. The only way for the church to live as God’s people who can display the good, pleasing and perfect will of God, is through having our minds renewed through God’s word and Spirit.
