Grace-based Giving
2 Corinthians 8:1-9, 9:6-15
2 Corinthians 8:1-9.
1) Giving generously is not wealth-based but grace-based. 2 Corinthians 8:1-2.
2) Grace-based giving involves giving one’s self to God and others. 2 Corinthians 8:3-5.
3) Grace-based giving is one expression of all acts of grace in our lives. 2 Corinthians 8:6-8.
4) Grace-based giving is motivated by Christ’s grace in giving Himself for us. 2 Corinthians 8:9.
2 Corinthians 9:6-15.
5) The one who gives generously will have bountiful results. 2 Corinthians 9:6.
6) Give as you purpose in your heart, not reluctantly or out of mere duty. 2 Corinthians 9:7.
7) God causes all grace to overflow that you may overflow in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:8.
8) God supplies and multiplies what you give and grows the fruit of your righteousness.
2 Corinthians 9:9-10.
9) Giving not only supplies needs but overflows in thanksgiving to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11-12.
10) Giving causes people to glorify God for gospel obedience and generosity to others.
2 Corinthians 9:13.
11) Giving produces prayers of affection in the church because of God’s surpassing grace.
2 Corinthians 9:14.
12) Thank God for His indescribable gift of grace in Christ. 2 Corinthians 9:15.
