Lead Pastor
I grew up as a church kid in East Clark County who met Jesus and was discipled by a long list of people through my church. During high school, I realized I wanted to be a part of students and their families coming to know who Jesus is and learning how to live for Him. After high school, I attended Multnomah Bible College (now Multnomah University) to earn a bachelor’s degree in Bible, Theology, and Youth Ministry. My time at Multnomah was truly transformative as a Christ-follower.
In 1998 I was given my first opportunity to lead a ministry with students. The internship was a catalyst that God used to give me a heart to help students and their families become disciples of Jesus. In 2001, I was hired as the youth pastor at Trinity Fellowship in SE Portland where God shaped me as a young pastor. It did not take long to realize that I wanted more education to better serve families. I enrolled at Western Seminary where I crammed a two-year master’s degree in counseling into four years.
Halfway through my time at Western Seminary (2007) my wife, Lindsay, and I moved to Camas. In 2008 Harvest offered me a position working with youth and their families. A few years later I was asked to oversee and advise children’s ministry at Harvest. Shortly after that, I was invited to be an elder. In 2017 I transitioned into the Lead Pastor role. Lindsay and I love our church and our little town. Both have provided a great place to raise our four kiddos (Kaden, Raegan, Hudson, and Maddison).
