When you consider the struggles you face living for Jesus, and how easily you can stumble, the promise that "we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." How can this promise be so certain? "For those whom he foreknew (loved in advance) he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son...and those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified." God is working ALL THINGS together according to his astonishingly good plan to conform us to the likeness of Jesus Christ. All things!! Yes, even THAT thing. Which leads Paul to say next, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:28-31.
